An investment firm in Boston is looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager. This role has primary responsibility for full cycle talent acquisition. Working with the VP Human Resources, the TA Manager will identify needs and design and implement programs to meet the requirements of the company. They will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and processes that attract and retain top level talent. This role also works cross functionally as assigned on projects key to the growth and success of the company. Most importantly, this key position will focus on the sourcing, attracting, assessing and hiring of top talent for all roles from entry level to senior management.


  • Develop and implement strategy, tactics and plans to attract top talent; apply same level of activity to retention of key talent.
  • Maintain cost discipline within assigned programs.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of staffing requirements, including position descriptions, requisition processes, sourcing decisions, postings, screening activities, interview processes, reference checking processes and salary.
  • Develop robust candidate pool through professional social media sources, employee referrals, professional societies, job postings, campus, contingency and retained agency searches.
  • Participate in the requisition and acquisition of the temporary/contract workforce to include qualification, cost structure and internal reporting/tracking requirements.
  • Design and delivery of selected employee communications vehicles to attract top candidates.
  • Within time and priority constraints, may perform training assessments and design programs using internal and external resources; may prepare and deliver training programs related to staffing.
  • Participation in campus recruitment efforts (co-op and college hiring).
  • Participate in other projects as assigned.


  • Understanding of human resource concepts, social media trends and current industry trends. A solid working knowledge of the company, product lines, business model and corporate goals/objectives is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related life sciences.
  • 8+ years direct experience as a professional recruiter with substantial experience in a life sciences, medical device, pharmaceutical business environment.
  • Full cycle staffing responsibility in private industry, preference with a publicly traded for profit company.
  • MBA and or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience recruiting various roles including Commercial, GMP manufacturing and engineering.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both written and in platform presentation format.
  • Ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time and deliver results on time.

COMPENSATION: $150K – $175k
