A k-12 school in Norwell, MA is looking for a highly-motivated Director of Human Resources with a positive attitude and the willingness to jump in and get the job done. The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day HR tasks and working closely with the executive and management teams to implement and develop HR policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, deliver and develop high quality, effective HR solutions to address identified needs, gaps and development opportunities across all levels within the school.
  • Meet regularly with departmental leaders to enhance communication and to support ongoing organization needs.
  • Develop talent management plans and drive culture change initiatives to attract, retain, develop and engage talent across the organization.
  • Participate in development, implementation and support of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with development and implementation of trainings for managers and employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance within the organization.
  • Administer onboarding of new employees and benefit programs strategically and on a day to day basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they relate to the HR function.
  • Create new or revised documentation for policies, procedures, processes and forms.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience across all core competencies of HR.
  • Prior experience in a school is highly-preferred.
  • Experience with quick decision making and change management skills are routinely leveraged.
  • Working knowledge of Employment Law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA and other aspects of employment.
