A digital marketing firm in Boston is seeking a Director/Head of Human Resources to join their team and head up the department for the firm. They are looking for a talented professional who is experienced in scaling a human resources function for a growing company. The Director must be a leader who is well-versed in recruiting, managing, and retaining high quality talent. This role will advise and collaborate with executives to help drive the company towards continued success. The Director/Head of HR will report into the CFO and work closely with founders and other department leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the human resources department, including managing a small team of direct reports.
  • Create and improve human resources processes and workflows, including career progression frameworks, employee success metrics, employee recognition programs, and budget management.
  • Prepare and manage leadership presentations and reports for company leaders.
  • Expand recruitment efforts by developing a strategic staffing plan, improving tactics for recruiting top-tier talent and ensuring a smooth application process.
  • Oversee employee benefits, including evaluating current programs and ensuring a competitive benefits package.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Recommend best practices and evaluate current policies and procedures.
  • Grow employee training resources.
  • Identify areas of improvement and create and implement new programs and functions to ensure the company continues to grow and prosper.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a high-growth company, preferably in the professional services space.
  • Experience creating and delivery executive-level presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to problem-solve and confidently make important decisions.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Strong leadership skills along with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be a create thinker.
  • Strong knowledge of state, federal and global laws and regulations related to employment.

COMPENSATION: $160k
